During an illustration studio course we were asked to create a cover page and in-text illustration for a fable, emulating the style of the country of origin and time period in which the story was written. I chose "The Parsley Queen", written by Matilda Chaplin Ayrton in 1909. My illustrations are based on 20th century Japanese paintings and ink drawings. I laid out the text in a booklet format with a cover, inner cover, and body text.
